East Coast Tour Rolls On
Will and I had a blast playing Quiet Flame release shows this past weekend. Tomorrow, we take the record parade on a celebratory march down to VA and back. Come join us! We’re having a blast and adding new songs to our set as we add miles to the van.
However, I could’ve picked a better time to leave my mountain home. The Vermont beauty on display right now is over-the-top breathtaking. My eyeballs are sore with trying to soak it all in before I hit the road. I hope fall is coming on with all its aching beauty in your own neck of the woods.
I’ve been dropping off my little one at school, and as I drive home alone each day, I listen to voice memos of songs for the next record. These first Quiet Flame release shows have truly felt like a release. Making space for what comes next. I’m feeling that back to school energy urging me to get back into the studio.
Earlier this year in Nashville, Tone Tree invited me by to play a few of my songs in front of some cameras. Here’s a solo early morning capture of “Heart of My Country.” I remember an Orkin Man walked by the window just as I was wrapping up this live take, but the video editor must have thought it didn’t fit the vibe.
Find the lyric poster for this song and more at my online store.
I hope our paths cross soon.
